Greg Friese’s Bloodline: “The Grinders”

“The Grinders” are a line-bred family of birds that were bred from the best long-distance birds in Brisbane in the 1980s.

More success for Greg’s birds!

This is BC H QPF 2021 3866. She came 1st in the Open Quilpie Fed Race, a distance of 866km at a velocity of 1106mpm. She is the grand-daughter of Bird 1096 and a first cousin to BC H IRPA 1178 (see below).

3866 was the only bird home on the day in the entire QRPF, flying for 14 hours and clocking in at 8:30pm in the dark. Only 2 birds have achieved this in the past 10 years!


This is BC H IRPA 1178. She came 2nd in the Windorah Fed (QRPF), a distance of 1060km. She is a great-grand-daughter of bird 1096, and first cousin to 3866 (details above)
